Couple of Rules while replacing Air Conditioner Capacitor

Air Conditioner Capacitor

1. Voltage: You can always replace higher value capacitor but not with a lower voltage capacitor.(Suppose you  have a 380 Voltage cap you can replace with 450 Voltage cap but not vice versa)

2. Micro Farads: Stay within 10%(either +/-) of the micro-farad value. (For example 40  MFD cap can't be replaced by a 45 MFD but 50 MFD can be replaced by 55 MFD)

3. For Fan Motors: Some of the air conditioner use the Fan terminal for dual capacitor. While replacing a air conditioner indoor motors, you can use a new standard capacitor for fan motors. For your compressor continuously use dual capacitor.

These three rules helps when you buying new air conditioner capacitors...!!!
